My favorite tool for writing the first draft of my manuscript is Scrivener. There is a complete user manual and helpful videos which you can access directly from the tool but the amount of information can be overwhelming.

To give my clients a way to get started quickly,  I  recorded the video which walks you through how I transfer my mind map into Scrivener to start writing the first draft. You ca use the technique to transfer a mind map you’ve written on paper or in Microsoft Word. Most of the time, I create my mind map from scratch directly in Scrivener using the cork board feature I show in the video.

To watch the video in full screen mode, click the four arrows at the bottom of the viewing screen. Click escape to exit full screen mode.
